Light Casino deposits: how to pay in from the cashier
A Light Casino deposit is made from the cashier in your account, with a payment method registered in your own name. It can be from 10,00 € to 10 000,00 €, depending on the method, and we charge no fee. Set a deposit limit before the first one.
Each method’s own range is in the payments table. If a payment has already failed, go to why a deposit fails.
Register and deposit Sign in to an existing account
Adults only. Minimum deposit 10,00 € (20,00 € by bank transfer), no fee from us, by Visa or Mastercard debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Trustly, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard or bank transfer. Open only to residents of Malta, Ireland, Poland, Finland and Hungary; methods and amounts differ by country. Gambling involves risk.
How to deposit at Light Casino, step by step
- 1 Set a deposit limit first In Account › Responsible gaming, save the most you are prepared to deposit over a day, a week or a month before you pay anything in. When the limit is used up, the cashier accepts nothing more until the period starts again. Lowering it applies immediately; raising it applies only after 72 hours. How deposit limits work
- 2 Sign in and open the cashier Type light-casino.biz yourself, sign in and open the cashier. Never follow a payment link in an email or a text message: the security page explains how to tell our messages from fake ones.
- 3 Choose a payment method Pick one of the methods the cashier offers you. It must be registered in your own name (Terms 5.1). Paysafecard takes deposits only, so money you later withdraw from a Paysafecard deposit is paid by bank transfer.
- 4 Enter the amount From 10,00 € to 10 000,00 € per deposit, within the range of the method you choose (Terms 5.2; each range is in the payments table) and within any deposit limit you have set (Terms 5.5). Have a promo code? Enter it in Cashier › Deposit › “I have a promo code” before you confirm; each code can be used once per account (where promo codes go). Choosing a bonus? Read the bonus policy first: it decides when bonus money can be withdrawn.
- 5 Confirm the payment If you pay by card, your bank may ask you to confirm the payment with a code, a fingerprint or face check, or a tap in its app. That is 3-D Secure, explained below. Stay on the page until the confirmation appears. A deposit by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Trustly, Skrill, Neteller or Paysafecard is usually credited within 1 min of that confirmation; a bank transfer within 1 business day, or 15 min by SEPA Instant. Note the amount, the time and the payment reference on your bank statement: support needs them to trace a payment.
Deposit minimum, maximum and fees
Every method’s limitsThe minimum deposit is 10,00 € by every method except bank transfer, where it is 20,00 €. The maximum depends on the method, as the list beside this shows, and a deposit also has to fit any deposit limit you have set (Terms 5.2 and 5.5).
We charge no fee for a deposit; your bank or payment provider may charge its own. Whichever method you use, the money is added to your balance in your account currency. The figures here are for euro accounts; in Poland and Hungary the cashier shows its own methods and amounts in złoty or forint, and in Finland it adds MobilePay and Finnish bank buttons (methods by country).

Two choices in the cashier decide whether you get it. The offer is opt-in, so nothing is added unless you choose it before you deposit, and you can decline it before it is credited. The method matters too: a first deposit of at least 20,00 € by Visa or Mastercard debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Trustly or bank transfer qualifies, while one by Skrill, Neteller or Paysafecard does not.
Once a bonus is credited, your own money is always staked first; bonus money is used only once your own balance reaches zero. How to claim the offer is on the promotions page, the rules for every bonus are in the bonus policy, and the promo code page explains when a code is refused.
Why a deposit fails
Before you try again, check your Light Casino balance and your bank statement, so the same payment is not made twice.
- The bank check was not finished
- If the 3-D Secure screen was closed, or the confirmation in your banking app was not completed, the payment does not go through. Start again from the cashier.
- Your bank declined it
- Whether to authorise a payment from your card or account is your bank’s decision. It may refuse because of your balance or a spending limit, its own fraud checks, or a block on gambling payments that it or you have set. Only the bank can say which, so ask it before you try the same method again.
- The amount is outside the method’s range
- A deposit below the method’s minimum (10,00 €, or 20,00 € by bank transfer) or above its maximum (from 1 000,00 € for Paysafecard to 10 000,00 € for Trustly and bank transfer) is not accepted (Terms 5.2).
- Your deposit limit is used up, or a time-out is running
- A deposit that would take you past the deposit limit you set is refused until the period starts again (Terms 5.5). During a time-out, deposits, bets and bonuses are blocked; withdrawals stay open.
- The method is not in your name
- A card, bank account or wallet that belongs to someone else cannot be used, including a partner’s or a family member’s (Terms 5.1).
- You are outside the countries we serve
- While you are in a restricted country, even on a short visit, you can sign in to withdraw your balance or use the responsible gaming tools, but you cannot deposit, play or take a bonus. We check your location when you sign in and in the cashier (Terms 2.3).
- We are waiting for documents
- While documents we have asked for are outstanding, you cannot deposit, play or withdraw, but you can still sign in, set limits, take a time-out or exclude yourself (Terms 4.3).
Still not credited? Contact support by live chat once you are signed in, or by email, 08:00–24:00 Malta time (CET/CEST), with the amount, the date and time, the payment method and the reference from your bank statement. If support does not resolve it, the complaints procedure sets out the next step.
3-D Secure: your bank’s check, not ours
Card payments and securityThis section applies to payments by Visa or Mastercard debit card. 3-D Secure is the card networks’ own authentication protocol. Its specification, EMV 3-D Secure, is published by EMVCo, a body owned by American Express, Discover, JCB, Mastercard, UnionPay and Visa. When you pay online by card, the protocol passes details of the payment to the bank that issued your card, and that bank decides whether to let it through or to ask you to prove it is you.
- No visible step
- EMVCo’s name for a payment the issuing bank lets through without asking you anything, because it rates the risk as low, is the frictionless flow.
- A challenge
- For a higher-risk payment the bank asks for more: a one-time passcode, a biometric check such as a fingerprint, or another method it uses.
- The law in the EEA
- The revised Payment Services Directive requires strong customer authentication when you start an electronic payment (Article 97(1)(b)): at least two independent elements of knowledge, possession and inherence, such as a PIN, your phone and your fingerprint (Article 4(30)). For a payment made online, the authentication has to be tied to the exact amount and payee (Article 97(2)). Some payments are exempt, for example remote payments of up to EUR 30 within cumulative limits (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/389, Article 16).
- If the prompt looks wrong
- Close it without entering anything, then ring your bank using the number on the back of your card. Never tell anyone a code your bank sends you.
